There are various ways to reach Ireland by air and then travel to the B&B fisHerman in Killaloe.
www.aerlingus.com flies to Cork or Dublin and is very popular because you can bring more luggage than with Ryanair and the departing airport is often closer to home.
Also, the journey is more pleasant. Once arrived, you should rent a car or take the train to Limerick.
Travel by train to Limerick is very easy and not expensive, look at www.irishrail.ie.
At the airport you can take a taxi or bus.
Dublin Airport to Heuston Station 45 min
Cork Airport to the Kent Station 10 min
Prices for a return train ticket:
Kent Station Cork - Limerick 35 Euro.
Heuston Station Dublin - Limerick 45 Euro.
These trains and buses are very modern and comfortable with special areas for luggage.
Travelling by bus to Limerick is also interesting as they depart directly from the airport and therefore you won't need to take a taxi or bus to the train stations.
From Dublin Airport to Bird Hill with www.jjkavanagh.ie. The bus runs 8 times daily and takes about three hours.
An open return ticket (adult return) costs 28 Euro and is valid for 45 days.
From Cork Airport to Limerick with www.citylinkonlinesales.ie.
This bus runs 7 times per day and takes about two hours.
An open return ticket (adult return) costs 17 Euro and is valid for one month.

www.ryanair.com, is the only company that flies directly to Shannon from Europe but unfortunately is threathening to stop their flights from April, you can still book them until late March.

- Suitcases are heavier than a large sport bags this also applies to your hand luggage.
- Rodcases must be checked in as sport articles check the max. weight of your Company. Fill it, next to your rods, with as far as possible other items.
